9pm bedtime for 5 month old?

Currently my DD has been going through the worst sleep EVER. I've been putting her to bed between 6-7pm and she's woken every two hours.

Last night as it was Xmas she had a nap around 6.30 for 40 mins and I kept her up with us until around 9pm.

She then slept for five hours straight??!

I'm tempted to repeat the same tonight but 9pm seems so late for a little one. It doesn't bother me when she goes up but I'm worried I'm doing the wrong thing.

Any advice?

Do whatever works for you, you're not doing anything wrong. I would try it for a few days and see if you like it.

I find the younger they are and the more naps they need the later their bedtime is.

Absolutely, why would you care that 9 pm seems too late? Too late for who? It works so keep doing it!

Thank you everyone! I feel like everyone I know seems to do such early bedtimes but you're totally right / if it works for us - who cares!

My little one at that age had a 10pm bed time he would nap about 6.30 for an hour and last bottle in bed at 9.30pm in bed for 10 he would then sleep until about 7am when he was about 9months he naturally dropped that bottle and started going to bed earlier, when they are that little you really have to do what works for you and your family everyone will be very different xx
