4.30am wake ups

Looking for any advice on how to reset our 20 month old and 5 month olds wake time. About 6 weeks ago our 20 month old got ill resulting in her waking at about 4 each morning. Since then she's continued to wake at this time each day. To add to the misery of these early mornings our little boy has joined the party waking at 4.30am and not going back down. He's also stopped sleeping as well as he did. We expected a sleep regression but this has now become his routine.
We've tried changing bed times, which only pushed the wake up time earlier. White noise machines, filling up on milk/supper and introduced a pillow (for eldest) but nothing seems to be working.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I've had to do a reset a a few times for my dc, the trick is to gently unsettle their sleep about 20 minutes before the unwanted wake time. It puts them into a new sleep cycle and will start to sleep through the habitual wake time. It usually takes about 3 days to reset.

Don't wake them fully, just enough to bring them out of the cycle and resettle again.

Also reporting your post to be moved to sleep as you'll get more responses. Good luck.
