8 mo difficult to re-settle

DD settles really well at bedtime and usually quite well after her first wake up but during the night, she gets progressively harder to resettle. I usually end up bringing her into our bed (she goes to bed in a cot in her own room) and I have no issue with cosleeping, it’s meant I’ve had 8 months of pretty good sleep! But she’s starting to get too big and too wriggly for it. I’d like her to do a longer stretch in her cot (by that I mean spend more of the night in her cot). I’m not after sleep training advice, she’s not my first baby and I know she’ll sleep through when she’s ready. I have no issue with going in to her when she needs me, but ideally I’d like a couple of hours in bed in between rather than having to pop back in five minutes after settling her. The worst thing is when I have three or four goes at resettling her and she does the ‘wide awake and party time’ thing. So that’s usually why I bring her into our bed, to avoid that. Do I just persevere with settling her in the cot and hope she gets it? I’ll admit I often just bring her into my bed straight away because the thought of having to resettle multiple times is not as appealing as sleep! I’m considering sleeping on her floor for a bit so I can comfort her immediately before she really wakes up. Often if I get to her like that she just needs a pat in the cot to drift back off again. She’s on the cusp of crawling and often when I go in she’s up on her arms looking confused bless her!

My just turned 8 month old today sleeps in a next2me equivalent but it's a cot attached to our bed because I can't hack walking around the house in the middle of the night.

I'll kick him out when he sleeps.

Yes I had her in a Snuzpod and that was my plan, but she got too big for it and wanted more space, hence she moved to the cot.

AHH perhaps I wasn't clear... We have taken th side of a cot, raised it to the heigh of our bed and attached it to the side to make an extension of our bed similar to the next2me set up.

My DS grew out of the next2me stupidly early because he's on the hefty/long size
