Any advice on increasing nighttime sleep?

Hi all,

My 3 month old baby has never been a great sleeper day or night. Have been working really hard on day time naps and am starting to see some progress (in pram or sling) which is great.

At nighttime, she is tending to sleep for (at its longest) 2 1/2 hours. She will then feed and go back to sleep without much difficulty, but I am struggling to get back as easily (we co-sleep). Once or twice she has had a 4 hour stretch but this is most definitely a rarity. She is too young to sleep train, so just wondering if others have done anything at this age which has helped. I do not think this is 4 month sleep regression as has been her pattern for months (I fully expect it may get worse with the regression!).

Thanks in advance :)

P.s in case helpful:

  • we have a bedtime routine every night and rock her to sleep
  • she is breastfed but I give her a bottle of formula as part of night time routine
  • we are about to transition out of swaddle

That sounds 10000000% normal to me?

You're doing well!!

Sounds absolutely perfectly normal! Good job!
DD 5 months has just this week started to sleep 11-6, and that’s because we put her down at 6.30/7, after bath, book, bottle, then dream feed her at about 11pm. It’s taken a few weeks to get her to sleep longer than 3/4 hours but I swear the dream feed has worked eventually.
Keep going as you are, she is still incredibly tiny!!
