Sleep literature

Need to sort out baby's (12mo) sleep. I'm absolutely going insane. Up until now I've just been winging it & trying to find what's best for me but I feel like I actually need to start reading up & look at some research/evidence to sort this out.

Jumped on many threads here discussing sleep issues - some of which I know I have added to myself, feeding to sleep, contact napping, co-sleeping etc.

I want to start transitioning baby to her cot but no clue where to start any advice for books/peoples work to read would be fab. Can't see the wood from the trees right now.

Plan is to read up, develop an action plan & implement once she is settled at nursery. She is currently teething and starts nursery next week so no point starting anything now - at least this gives me time to mentally prepare as I know it won't be easy.

Worst case scenario I will contact a sleep consultant but don't really have the money so want to try other things first.
