10 month old sleep

Please help we are at our whits end!!!

My 10 month old has started fighting her sleep so bad and it’s ruining us.

She has usually 2 naps during the day, sometimes 1. Usually in her pram or car seat whilst we’re out and about. I have to wake her up at 3:30pm at the latest (she would sleep longer) however any later than this and nighttime’s are a real struggle.

She has tea around 5-5:30pm, then bath, then a play, then bottle and bed.

On this bedtime bottle, she will just about fall asleep but then start arching her back, kicking us, screaming. And crying as if she doesn’t want to sleep. Although she is KNACKERED, rubbing her eyes, keeping her eyes closed, making sleeping whinge noises. We then can’t get her back to sleep until 10-11pm where she is just EXHAUSTED.

She is teething, but has been slowly for about 7 months. She’s cut 5 teeth in 4 weeks, they don’t bother her during the day but as precaution we give her calpol at bedtime incase it’s teeth bothering her.

She’s been crawling, standing, and cruising furniture for months and I don’t believe she’s near walking on her own so don’t think it’s this.

She doesn’t fight sleep in the day, it’s just bedtime where she starts arching her back and kicking us away even though she’s virtually asleep.

She never really finishes a bottle off, and she eats well with snacks so I don’t think it’s hunger.

She can’t self settle and I can’t leave her to cry it out because she just stands up in her cot.

Please helpSad

I have found if my wee one is over tired at night I stand in her room in the dark cuddling her and singing to her till she falls asleep which is usually within 10minutes then lie her down in her cot x

This is exactly how my 10 month old is at the moment I feel like I could’ve written it! Fighting her sleep every night even though she’s absolutely knackered. Everytime she’s on the verge of falling asleep she kicks and jolts which wakes her up completely so we have to start all over again! Did this get any better and if so how? Going to work really hard this week at trying to get her to fall asleep independently but it’s going to be a nightmare as she just stands in her cot banging on the bars!

This is what my DD was like at 10 months. One night she didn't go to sleep until 10, then she woke up at 11. She was standing up in her cot on/off until 1am. We gave her milk and did Jo Frosts controlled timed crying from that point. Took about 20 mins then we did it all week for all naps and bedtime sleep. She was settled and sleeping through by night 3. Totally changed things for us
