Dropping from 3 to 2 naps?

Hi all - seeking a second opinion (/opinions) on whether my little boy is dropping from 3 to 2 naps. He learnt to crawl at the end of last week, and for the last couple of days he has totally refused his morning nap (usually two hours after his wake time) - just rolls over, crawls around his crib and chats. He’s taken a very short second nap (20 mins) followed by a long but hard fought for late afternoon nap from around 2:30 to 4. Do those who have been here before thibk I should try and extend wake times in the morning or is this a crawling-associated sleep regression? Thanks in advance!

I fully follow my little girls lead. No real day time route. But she generally gets sleepy and has a nap 9am & 12:30ish.

She's 8 months old. She's was having 3 naps till around mid November.

Thanks @MustLoseTheBabyWeight - we don’t really have a strict routine either, and I do generally follow his sleep cues - but several times recently that has resulted in nap refusal. Was your little girl around 7.5 months when she dropped to 2?

I think we are in this transition
She's 6 months
Some days are two longer sleeps and other days when she does 30-45 minutes she needs 3 sleeps
