7 week old 30 minute naps

Help! Our 7 week old only seems to be able to nap for 30mins and can't link to the next cycle. She gets herself to sleep in her cot - she wakes crying and so unhappy as overtired.

Unfortunately it’s very normal for 30 minute naps until around 6 months (in my experience). Only way I could get my DD to sleep longer was letting her sleep on me.

Another vote for normal. And again, holding baby for naps sometimes helped make them longer but not always.

Glad to hear people say this is normal. My 8 week old is the same and it's max 3 of these short naps a day. He used to nap for longer in his pram or car seat but that's stopped in the last 2 weeks.
