Hi

Sorry , I've already poated before about rhus, months ago.
My DD 2 years old now. Still awake every night 4 hours on average. I can't cope with life and having to look after my older daughter too. I do obviously but the quality of life is rubbish , it's just try to get through the day and then the night, then repeat.

I've realised that it doesn't matter if I go in my daughters cot, lie next to her, or take her in my bed, she will still take 3-4 hours without fail to settle back down. She's happy usually for a bit , after crying, wide awake, then head banging and then eventually exhausted and crying and banging herself to sleep.

I'm so so so tired. Had 2 and half hours last night and then got up for work.
Desperately need help but just tried everything.

I wonder if its time to drop the day time nap. She has around 1.5 hours-2 hours.
On 4andom days when she hasn't had a nap, it has made absolutely no difference to the night waking. Hence why I've been reluctant to drop it as why make life harder when it already seems so difficult.

Sorry for talking about this again. Hope someone can help me xx

I would definitely either drop the nap or cap it to 45-60 mins first and see how that works. My 2.5 year old usually has 45 mins naturally during the day or none at all if she's at nursery and she typically sleeps 7/7.30 - 6.30-7ish with no problem. I would say she's sleeping too much during the day in my opinion x

Hi @rer1986!

Thank you for replying!

OK, thank you, I'll try an hour nap today and see if this helps xx

I'd absolutely be capping the nap or going with out it. We didn't have the wakeful spell in the middle of the night, just the never ending bedtime at 2yo. Dropped the nap and while DS struggled for a little while, bedtime became much less of an arseabout
