Baby Sleepwear

My DD (4mo) currently sleeps in a long sleeved vest, sleepsuit and 2.5 tog sleeping bag, she sleeps well enough but can take a while to drop off.

During the day she falls asleep within minutes when we go for a walk with her in a pramsuit in the carrycot of her pram. I don't think it's the motion of the pram as when it was warmer and she didn't have the pramsuit on she wouldn't always fall asleep.

So, is there anything suitable for overnight sleeping that would feel similar to her pramsuit as she's obviously very cosy and comfy in it?

Bumping this for you, OP

You can get padded 2.5 tog sleepsuits that they wear over their vest and normal pyjama sleep suit. They don't work for us as DD needs restricted legs so she dsnt wake herself kicking but might work for yours!

Thanks for the bump and thank you @kitkatsky, I've had a quick look and the smallest I can find start at 6 months (and cost about £30 each!Shock) but will keep looking.

Are you sure she is not falling asleep in her pram because you're taking her out when she is due a nap rather than because she is warm and cosy?

EdithGrantham · 05/12/2021 22:41

It is possible @BebesChamber (great username by the way!) but it does seem to be happening more than when she was just under a blanket, could be coincidence I suppose.

You can get togged sleeps units. They are padded. But they aren't really advisable for young babies, as its easy for them to overheat hence why sleeping bags are mostly sleeveless.

EdithGrantham · 06/12/2021 15:40

@kitkatsky thank you, that's great!

@JustWonderingIfYou I did wonder if there was a reason they're harder to come by, I wonder if she'd like a padded sleeveless sleepsuit, will have a look on eBay

There is currently one in sainsburys 2.5tog. I just bought it for my toddler.

Ah brilliant, I love Sainsbury's! There's none on the website in her size but will look next time I go in.
