DS is 15mo old and because he's been sleeping in our bed comfortably with our divet and pillow, i thought it was time to introduce them into his cotbed.

Only, tonights the first night and i'm nervous.

How old were your LO's when you let them sleep with pillow & duvet for the first time?

my dd was 1 when she got a pillow and about 18 months when she got a cot quilt (she was in a grobag before then). My ds had a goi goi pillow from a few weeks old and still has it in his cot at 14 months. he is still in a grobag though so I havent given him a quilt yet. They are ok from 1 year anyway so I am sure your lo will be fine.

I've just bought a duvet and pillow for my 13 month old son. Until it all arrives, he has a pillow in his cot, underneath the bottom sheet. I think he is ready now, he seems far more comfortable in our bed than his own.

My DD1 slept in a cot till she was nearly 3, she slept in grobags so didn't need a duvet till she'd out-grown the 36 mo size of bag. Grobags are great, they keep them warm and can't get over their heads.

oh, and they also make it very hard to climb out the cot

Last night was the first night for us - he's 20m.

He was in our bed from 1am but I don't know if the two are connected!

Tonight we have gone for sleeping bag and pillow, easing it in gently.

Good luck! x

I tried the grobag, he screamed, lol.. he's never got on with them so we've used fleece blankets and footsie pyjamas

If you want to use the grobag try putting him in it before story and a cuddle time so he's all snuggly and warm by time you put him in bed.
