Baby is tired but cannot fall asleep

Help!
My 7 month old DD has not been the same since the 6 month regression hit.
Getting her to nap/sleep is so difficult, she shows all the tired cues, but when put down, she closes her eyes, springs them open again and cries murder.

It’s getting worse as the days go by, any advice is welcome

I was here just 2 months ago!

I went down the sleep training route very reluctantly

I started with deciding I was wanting to do an 8-8 schedule

So do bedtime routine and then put in cot awake - she cried for 1 hour the first night - my husband say with her reassuring her regularly and then leaving the room for a few minutes every now and then

She settled then and never woke up until 4am for a feed

Next day she cried for her nap for 10 mins

Next nap 5 mins

That night 5 mins

A month later she cries when put in cot and has stopped by the time I reach the door 🙈

Still have the odd bad night with her teeth it whatever but it is all that worked for us
