Is it too late?

My baby is 8 months old and still in my room. I now want to move her to her cot but fear that it is too late as she is so aware of her surroundings and will really notice the change. Any tips? She is a really poor sleeper.

You might find lo sleeps better.... My lo slept better when I moved her around 6.5/7 months I suppose it was.

Pop your pillows in the cot all day, and take them out before lo goes bed. I don't know if it helps but keeps the smell of me in there and maybe it's a bit warm too.

A solid consistent bedtime is always a good call. I always offer rest of bottle in her room cuddle and singing of the same song then pop lo in cot and she moves around for a bit then goes sleep.

If your lo likes dummies - I put about 12 in her cot so she can find any in night.

Keep it nice and dark.

Others suggested to make sure lo spends time in their room. I never done that previously and she still slept fine in there

Good luck 🤞
