Nighttime waking

My 3 month old has never slept through the night, he always has woken for feeds.
He’ll go to sleep 830/9, wake 130am for feed which can be his full 5oz, back to sleep until 330am for another smaller bottle, from 5am onwards ish he becomes really unsettled, as in tossing and turning, arms and legs going.
I don’t know if it’s wind that he hasn’t brought up on his last feeds, but this happens every single night. He simply can’t fall back into that deep sleep.
Just looking for advice or ideas if you’ve been through this. Thank you x

I think this is all pretty normal? It's unusual for a 3 month old to sleep through as their tummies aren't big enough to keep them full. 2/3 feeds per night is standard I think. Also normal that they sleep more lightly in the second half of the night and might need a bit of help to resettle until they learn to self soothe.

Totally normal. My DD was still having a night feed at a year. You're getting some decent stretches of sleep there. The first chunk will generally always be the longest. The time between feeds will most likely stretch as he grows but just go with it for now!

Thank you both, it’s the restlessness at 5am I didn’t know if other babies did this too. X

My DD was like this, and although still a crap sleeper at 2yrs old, we found swaddle bags from Amazon a life saver at that age. Used them from around 2.5 months to 4/5 months til she went into a sleeping bag.
