The last few weeks have been back to back illnesses with our 9 month old and 3 year old. Bronchitis, Hand, foot and mouth, croup, colds.
The baby is breastfed and I've been bringing her into bed with me as she's up crying and coughing a lot. No one is getting much sleep and I feel on my knees.

I want her to sleep in her cot (laughs hysterically at this fairy tale prospect). I'm happy to sleep train but between illness and teething I don't see a window to do it and get the consistency.

I just really want to know what everyone doses with their ill children at night. Do they just keep on with the normal bed arrangements or do they all end up in the parents bed for cuddles.

When they were children I stayed up with them when they were ill. If they could get a bit of sleep then great, if not then all I could do was be with them to take care of them.

Me and my husband took turns so we could each get at least some sleep.

If sick they come in to my bed. I look at the situation as They are sick so need comfort and they are only small for a short time so why not. My 15 month old is in with us most nights and the 3.5 year old about once a week maybe

I've given up on any thoughts of getting the baby in the cot. She's in my bed and husband has been evicted for the short term.
