Will her sleep ever improve again?

14 month old DD’s sleep has been pretty bad since she started nursery 2 months ago but lately she has also been ill and it’s been an absolute nightmare, not even feeding to sleep is working anymore and she never ever settles in the evening. This is unlike her as even though she has always been a bad sleeper, she is usually easy-ish to settle in the first stretch of the evening with a bit of breast. Now we are truly struggling to put her down and have been having to have dinner in turns. I thought we were beyond this given she is 14 months but hey, this is parenting, right?
I am just hoping to hear stories of people who went through a similar pattern but they did eventually get better. How did it happen and WHEN?

Thank you!

Ps: no sleep training advice please

If you are feeding to sleep (or trying to, when she is well) then her sleep quality would be better if you cosleep.

This is because as she gets older it becomes increasingly important for her to go to sleep in the same place she stays asleep. So if going to sleep snuggled to your torso, to stay there.

If you want her to sleep independently in the cot, then her quality of sleep will improve when she learns that 100% of the time she goes from fully awake to asleep all done in the cot. So repeating feeding and sleeping completely. This will require sleep training.
