Toddler naps

My LB is 2.5 and has refused any naps for months now. He still clearly needs a nap as he falls asleep in the car if we are driving between 12 and 3. If we are at home he'll refuse a nap until 5 mins before 3 ( which is when I used to wake him up!) and fall fast asleep. When can I leave him sleeping till? Should I get rid of the nap and not let him have it. HELP! Thank you x

I would insist on "quiet time" between 12-3. So if toddler will tolerate it, lying in cot or if not, lying on sofa with a blanket. No insistence on sleeping, but equally no permission to get up and do stuff.

Then past 3pm, up and busy regardless. Sleeping past 3pm will really affect your nights.
