My 10mo baby has always been a good sleeper & slept through the night but recently she keeps waking up screaming, usually with a sweaty head (it’s not too hot in her room). Even if I take her out the cot she doesn’t calm down until we go out her room and/or watch hey bear. Sometimes she will cry again as soon as I go back into her room or put her in her cot.
Is this just a phase or could she be ill? She’s had a runny nose for about a week but seemingly no other symptoms..
So weird because she goes down fine but then will wake with a blood curdling scream 😖
My anxiety is through the roof as I'm always on edge thinking she will wake up

What is the room temp and what she wearing for bed?

Could she be teething? My DS who is 9 months often wakes up inconsolable when teething and always has a runny nose at the same time!

The temp is usually about 19-20 degrees & she wears a sleepsuit with 1.5 tog sleeping bag.
Could possibly be teething but she already has 8! Thought she wouldn't be getting anymore for a while

I would try opening the window and cooling the room to 18c

Ear infection? Exact same issue for us at a similar age. GP said the sleep pressure helps them nod off, but laying down causes the ear to hurt so they then wake up distraught and can’t say why.
