6 months night terrors?

I think DS has been having night terrors.
The other night when we were just getting in bed he started hysterically crying. But he was asleep! We had to wake him by changing him and then he was awake smiling and settled back off to sleep.
Tonight he did it again but wasn't hysterically crying.. he was shouting SO LOUD!!
Is it possible this could be night terrors? And is it normal for his age?

I very much doubt scientific evidence (in terms of intellectual brain development) would support the idea of nightmares or dreams. Baby has only just grasped object perminance for example - so has only just realise that unseen things still exist. The concept of dreams therefore is very further advanced than this.

More likely to be baby's frustration at trying to move from light sleep to deep sleep and being unable to.
