Anyone used a groclock or used an alternative that was better?

Suggestions please!

How old is the child? I found the gro clock annoyingly fiddly and it didn’t really work for DD so chucked it after a few days. Instead we got a very basic digital alarm clock and she knows not to get up until the first number is ‘7’. It works really well but probably not an option for a younger child as it relies on then being able to count and recognise numbers.

Hi, he was 2 in August so think a digital clock might not be what we need but a good idea!

He's used to sleeping In the dark so not sure that a Groclock is the answer, is it illuminated all night or does it go off? If it's anything like the calpol plug ins it's a no! Ha

We have a sheep style clock called Sam the sheep that works as a night light and grow clock. Our two and a half year old loves it and knows when the sheep shuts his eyes and goes red he needs to sleep too. The red light doesnt inhibit melatonin production, unlike the blue light of the grow clock that might keep your child awake.

Oh and you can programme the sheep night light to stay on all night or go off after a certain time.

You can turn the brightness of the face of a gro clock right down. Good for todddlers. Worked for mine.

I have a groclock and my DS is 6 but still uses it and knows not to come and disturb us until the sun is up! 😁

As above Groclock works for us and our 6 year old knows not to disturb us until sun is out. You can turn down the brightness - the calpol plug in light is ridiculous and groclock is nothing like this!
The trick with groclock is never ever give in to letting them get up before the sun (apart from toilet obviously!). It can take a while and they might sing or chatter (and still wake you up!) but persevere as eventually they learn to wait for the sun.
