Sleep Sacks

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this seems silly but I'm a FTM and I'm confused. My LO is 10.5weeks old and I'm looking to transition him from a cellular blanket to a sleep sack as he is constantly wriggling through the night and kicks his blankets off, leaving him cold!

Our bedroom is on average anywhere between 19-22 degrees, obviously we have the heating on now to maintain this. I've look at the sleep sack guide on the Emma's Baby website and for a 2.5tog sleep sack it says that they should wear a bodysuit only under the sleep sack.. the image however has long sleeves and legs? My question is, is a bodysuit the same as a vest? If so I'm worried his little arms will get cold so could I put him in a long sleeves vest?

Any advice on what you dress your little one in would be a huge help! Thank you 🙏🏼

Lo room is 21 at bed time. Drops to 19/20 overnight. We do 2.5 tog long sleeve vest and pjs bottoms. Think it depends on your lo and what they like or how much they feel the cold tbh x

Thanks @Fancyties Smile do you put socks on your LO or no?

No worries. Funny enough no. Think i go on the notion I don't wear socks to bed I don't put my LO in them 😂

Sometimes I pop lo in pjs without the vest. Depends what mood I'm in tbh.

I would start with lowest clothing and then if LO wakes up you know what to put on the next night. I go on the guidance best to be chilly rather then too hot x x

both of mine had a short sleeved vest/body suit and then their baby fro abs then a 2.5 tog sleeping bag. My house is a little cooler though, we'd never survive 22 degrees! Grin
