HELP! My daughter is 15 months old and due to breastfeeding I made the BIG mistake of letting her fall asleep in the bed with me and transferring her to her bed 🤦🏻‍♀️ I really want to be able to put her to sleep in her cot, awake, and let her fall asleep but just can't seem to find the way to make the change! What can I do to get her used to falling asleep alone?!?

The gentle way would be to start by cuddling her to sleep on your bed, rather than breastfeeding.

Then move towards lying next to her but not cuddling her to sleep, but with your hand on her chest/back for reassurance.

Then sit on your bed with your had on her, as she goes to sleep on your bed.

Then sit without your hand on her as she goes to sleep

Then try moving her into the cot, hand on her chest/back as she goes to sleep.

This will all take a lot of time though. A week or several at each step.
