When did your LO start with an earlier bedtime?

Our baby boy is 10 weeks old an d I am desperately trying to remember when we started putting our eldest down for a 7lm bedtime but I can't.
At present his daytime naps are pretty hard. He will not sleep unless held and often ranges from 1 minute (no joke) to 40 minutes and occasionally up to 2 hours.

He feeds to sleep on a night at 9.30pm and I put him down at 10pm after he's in a deep sleep. He'll then go through to about 4am for a feed and then back down till about 5.30am when dh takes him downstairs for a fresh bottle and he'll drift off for another hour whilst held.

What time did you start moving bedtime earlier? And what time did you dream feed?

I held my LO until about 4 months for naps maybe longer - bit hazy now and she's only 6.5 months old 😬. Literally my day was holding her to sleep. She now naps in pram but that's taken a lot of work to get that and a lot of MN advice.

Think I went to bed at 7pm/8pm most nights with my LO from about 3 months, or I would fall asleep on couch while oh held her 😂 . I had a difficult sleeper though and took some ninja moves to get her to sleep, so took a while.

Dreamfeed. My Oh did it about 11 ish before he went to bed. Im normally asleep by 9pm sometimes 930pm when I'm a rebel 😂 I think 🤔 people do df at different times but just time we picked.

I guess you just do it whenever it would suit you. Mine have all had an earlier bedtime of 7-8pm from 2 weeks old and stuck to it ever since. I did dreamfeed with the first two but never did with the last, he’s slept far better than the others so don’t think it always works.

Good luck!

Oh yes pp is right about DF. We introduced 5 months old. And stopped recently as started causing her to be awake 2 hours after the feed. It did help initially and helped stop the middle of night feed.
