15 w/o fighting naps

My 15 w/o DS still naps about 5 times a day, the same number as his feeds (FF). Most of the time he's settled in the "feed, play, nap" routine. He did this naturally.

He still naps on me, which I'm happy with. At some point I'd like to be able to put him down for a nap so I can eat/get stuff done! But happy to follow his lead on this. At the moment, if I try to put him down he instantly wakes up, and won't fall asleep in his basket.

Naps last between 30 mins and an hour usually. He also sleeps in the car, and in the pram if I time a walk right.

My worry is that non car/pram naps, he seems to fight it. He cries and wriggles about. I get him to sleep by walking around the house and jiggling him, and it can take around 10 mins or so for him to sleep properly. Often his eyes are closed so I know he needs a sleep, but he seems determined to fight it. He's getting very heavy so it's not easy for me to lug him about for so long!

Am I missing a trick? It's not nice to see him upset, but he wakes up happy. I've tried earlier and later naps but it's all the same. He's great at night and goes down pretty easily.

Thanks!
