Toddler can't nap without dummy

Hi, my DS turns two next week. A month ago we decided to wean the dummy, he was only using it for sleep/nap and car/shopping. We cut holes an them, he did like it anymore, but keep kind of uses it as comfort object and sometimes chews it. Before that he was napping and sleeping very well. At nighttime it was hard in the beginning but after 5 days all came back to normal. However, naps never came back. I am pretty sure he is not done with naps yet, as he is wrecked by naptime. I watch him from the monitor trying to sleep for half an hour, then giving up, playing with his teddy for a while and then screaming. Yesterday my partner gave him an uncut dummy (because we both had zoom meetings at that time) and he was asleep after two minutes. I am thinking to give him a dummy with no holes of it because he (and us) really needs his nap, but then I am worrying that he will ask for it at night too. It's been 6 weeks since we cut the dummies, so I dont think he will manage to nap without it? Does it worth pushing through it or should I give him the dummy just for nap?

I'd give him the dummy personally, but I don't get her up about dummies.

I'd just give the dummy 🤷‍♀️
If it's only for sleep time it won't hurt him

Thank you all.

I’d let him keep it - we only just got rid of ours and DS is 3. The dummy fairy came to pick it up and left him a present, he was happy, easy peasy. 2 is obviously a bit young to understand that. I don’t think it’s worth the battle at that age.
