Safe sleeping in cot

My little one seems to like rolling into his stomach when he's in the cot, he's been rolling over for a good while now from his back to his front so it's not a surprise he's now doing this in his sleep. He's not rolled stomach to back confidently yet so am I right in thinking whenever I see him on the monitor on his front I need to move him back on to his back for safe sleeping until he's confident rolling both ways?

Yes, that's right.

Loads if tummy time in the daytime helps them to learn to roll both ways.

Once he’s strong enough to roll he is safe to sleep on his front. Don’t worry too much about it, most babies sleep on their fronts when they’re able to
