7mo only naps in my arms

DD will fall asleep in my arms after bf, sometimes for up to an 1.5 hours. However, if I try to put her in her cot, she wakes up immediately, grumbles for a few seconds, and is then totally wide awake and ready to play.
If I let her sleep on me, she can have two naps in the day. If I make any attempt to move, she'll go the whole day without sleeping (then wake up throughout the night as well). Today she wouldn't even sleep in the buggy!
I don't want to "deprive" her of an opportunity to rest, but sometimes I can't sit motionless for hours! It just seems odd that she seems to have a "take it or leave it" approach to napping, I would have thought that she'd end up exhausted at some point...(she's otherwise healthy, putting on weight & rarely cries).
Any advice?

What about a sling? I appreciate that your DD might be too big for a front carry in a ring sling, but something like an Ergo carrier would let you do things 'hands free'. My DS will almost always fall asleep in the Ergo, and it's also very handy to keep in the car instead of a buggy...
