What's your DC's sleep like and why?
Naps included Smile

Mine has night sleep from 8-5.30, feed around 1.30am then again at 5.30 but she's awake and can't go back down after that! Naps between 45min - 2hrs, trying to stick to wake windows of 1.5 hrs.

She's my only DC and doesn't have to fit into another older child's life etc.

Tell me about yours Smile Xx

bed at 10, sleeps until 4 or so, feeds then sleeps until around 8. Doesn't sleep a lot in the morning and will nap early afternoon for a couple of hours. Doesn't sleep much after that until around 730pm, will have a short nap then. If I feed him at 8 pm he will go to bed then but will wake twice in the night, so I prefer to keep him up for cuddles at the moment. I know I should send him off at 8pm and do a dream feed but he looks too peaceful to wake. My DD didn't sleep so I can't quite believe this one sleeps so much

Just to add I'm not fussy about naps, is he has a catnap at any time during the day that's fine. I've seen people tie themselves up in knots about timings and it hasn't made a bit of difference come night time. If you and your baby are happy just go with it

@namechangefornaming1 thanks. No I'm happy with things, just interested to hear what others are doing and why, like is it fitting into toddlers schedule etc or just not bothered about routines/ already back at work and baby's in nursery so it's up to them etc etc Xx

Yeah I think I come under the not bothered group 🤣. DD is just about to start school so he'll have to be up for about 3 then for the pick up. DH will deal with the mornings

My daughter is 15 weeks and since 5 1/2 weeks has slept roughly 9pm-5am, then 530-8 or 9am. Some nights she has 2-3 night wakings but more often just one.

Naps I just let happen when they happen. Usually she will want to sleep 2 hours after she has woken up. Sometimes she has hours of naps, sometimes just 20 mins her and there. I haven't noticed a pattern in how it impacts her night sleep so I make zero effort to control naps.

Also interested to hear what other people are doing.

Baby boy is 14 weeks, naps are random too. I do try and stick to max 2 hour wake window, less if he only had 20/30 minute sleep beforehand, but I’m not bothered about timings. I tried to follow the Little Ones app schedule but those sorts of things work off you leaving baby alone to nap and sleep and I’m deffo not comfortable doing that yet as per safe sleep guidance. It doesn’t seem to affect his night sleep anyway. He goes down anytime between 8-9 after a bath and feed, usually wakes about 2-2.30 for a feed then will go back down 3-6.
