Just woke up and my seven week old had legs stuck in bars of cot. He had moved so much from the centre of cot( with feet to bottom). He tends to get on his side in the night.

Please tell me someone else’s DC has done this.

Not sure how to stop it. Thought sleeping bag but bedroom is very very hot currently.

You can get a cot bumper to stop this but these come with a suffocation risk warning so you'll need to make a judgement call

We went through that one earlier, looks like posts have been removed since (they weren't rude or anything like that but for some reason I'd got it in my head the op's baby was ten months, not seven weeks).

Seven weeks is too young for a cot bumper.

I browsed and came up with a 'breathable mesh liner', this is one:
www.amazon.co.uk/BreathableBaby-Mesh-Liner-Twinkle-Sided/dp/B01B1695RU/ref=asc_df_B01B1695RU/?hvlocphy=9044973&linkCode=df0&hvptwo&psc=1&psc=1&hvnetw=g&hvadid=310831257996&hvpone&hvlocint&th=1&hvpos&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl&hvqmt&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&hvtargid=pla-401801539347&hvrand=6538133785477312026

All the adverts for breathable mesh liners that I saw look as though they are on big cots, not the sort such a young baby would usually sleep in but there may be others.

This is quite interesting though I know my babies would have hated having their legs confined or constricted in any way:

There are two threads going on this topic.

Sleeping bag all the way. You can get a summer weight ones.

Both mine wore them right up until about a year old.

Cot bumpers are dangerous, even the mesh ones.

Seven weeks!!!! Ok I totally misread the original post, I thought it said months. Don't get a cot bumper, your LO is far far too young and it would be dangerous as they probably can't roll away from it.

Apologies @Maggiesfarm I panicked a bit last night and posed in two places.

Thanks all am going to get a lower tog sleeping bag and put him in that.

Excellent lemon, I hope it works (and I'm sorry I said she instead of he, I really shouldn't post when I'm tired, I always make mistakes).
