So my little boy has never ever been a great sleeper. 4 hours is the longest he's went, and those days are long gone. He now is about 1 hr 30 mins, 2 hours at most. He's now in his own cot as we thought he was uncomfy in his next to me, so bought a good mattress for him but no... He likes sleeping on his side, but wakes up when he rolls onto his back. He's now fighting going to sleep and every night is taking over an hour. I wouldn't mind if he then slept for ages but he doesn't. My partner works shifts and most nights I'm on my own. I'm sitting in my nursing chair crying, he's crying and I am honestly at breaking point. He is the HAPPIEST contented wee boy throughout the day, and sleeps not bad 2-3 hours roughly. Please any words of wisdom. He doesn't want held, kicks and punches out, doesn't want to lie in cot. I'm at my wits end and feel like a total failure!!!

How are you getting him to sleep? That's most likely the cause.

What happens for sleep in the daytime? When and for how long does he sleep and where is he sleeping?
