I need help: my baby won’t sleep in her cot

It’s a bit of a nightmare at the moment. Hoping for some advice.

She’s seven months. Moved her to her own room at six months and initially went well

Now she goes in her cot at about 8 but wakes constantly. She then will get a solid 3 hours or so between midnight and 3 (as an estimate, it varies) but it’s so hard getting her back to bed.

I’ve tried a sleep nest. Is there anything else that might settle her or some gentle sleep training I can do? Ir isn’t sustainable at the moment!

When she first goes to sleep in her cot, how are you getting her to sleep? Is she going in awake then falling asleep herself or are you feeding/rocking her? If the latter, the problem is probably the association she has with needing those things to fall asleep independently. There are gentle methods that you can gradually teach her to break those associations.

I think that’s what we need. I’ve tried putting her in awake but she just cries, even if she wasn’t upset before she went in.

She also rolls constantly and then gets trapped and gets annoyed, which is why I put her in asleep!
