my newborn baby is asleep for really long stretches and we find ourselves having to wake him for feeds most of the time during the day, but he’s wide awake all night and crying every 1-2 hours throughout. How can I flip this around?

This sounds pretty normal and will usually sort itself by about 6 weeks. We just did a shift system between the two of us while we waited it out so that everyone got some sleep.

Very normal and will change soon. I wouldn't wake a sleeping baby unless they're low birth weight/not gaining, or have been advised to by health visitor.
