Hi, would be interested in hearing your routines as ours seems to be going a bit wrong with a baby who protests bedtime...

Wake up: between 6.30am and 7.30am

Nap 1: 2 hours after wake up. Wake by 10.30am. Usually c1h 30.

Nap 2: 2.15 after wake up. Wake by 2pm. Usually c1hr 30 or sometimes 45 minutes (Esp if we are running "late").

Nap 3: 2.30 after wake up. Usually about 30 minutes.

Bedtime: 2 hours after wake up. Usually between 6.30 and 7.30.

Should I extend the last wake up time?? Shorten the last nap? Any ideas ?

Interested to hear what works for others!

Thank you!

Gina Ford, little ones etc will recommend something like this
Wake 6.30-7am, milk feed
8am breakfast
9.15-10am nap
10.30 milk feed
12noon lunch
12.30-2.30 nap
2.30 milk feed
5pm supper
If lunch nap shorter than 1hr30, small nap 4.45 -5pm
6pm bath
6.30pm milk feed
7pm asleep in bed
10pm dream feed if needed

I would set all your wake times to 2h.

Also set bedtime at a time that you want to keep. Say 7pm (I would go for 8.30pm, but whatever works for you). Then wake baby 2h before - so nap no later than 5pm for a 7.30pm bedtime.

3 nap days want 2h wake times all the way through the day.

Thank you that is a very wide range! Naps started to lengthen when I extended awake times. No problems overnight, just protesting at bedtime recently. Obviously every day is a bit different so hard to know what is what!
