What's your co-sleeping setup?

What do you use to stop your LO from rolling out of bed? A bed rail, or cot? Or something else. I can't put her in the middle because my husband is a very sound sleeper and doesn't feel comfortable being next to her, and he can't sleep elsewhere because we've recently moved and haven't sorted the spare room yet!

How old is baby?

A crawling baby for example can be taught to get off the bed safely unaided, so bed guards aren't needed. You just need to protect from accidental rolling - a pool noodle under bottom sheet works for that.

My 3yo is in a single bed fine and has been for some time. This works as she sleeps an barely moves, DS5 has a little rail as he can't keep still in his sleep. And my 18MO is still in his cot as it works, it's massive and he sleeps great!

We had a mattress on the floor until maybe just after two years old, now we're on a proper bedframe with bed guards.

But if you're short on time maybe just put your bed against the wall with little one between you and the wall?
