Toddler in and out of bed.

We’ve very recently put my just turned 2 year old into a cot bed with bed guard as she’s learnt how to climb out of her cot.
She shares a room with her two eldest siblings who have bunk beds. She is a fucking nightmare on a night now and has been for weeks. She gets out of bed non stop. I keep going back in, and putting her to bed. I’ve been doing it with her now since 7:30pm. She has a good nighttime routine and I know she’s tired as she keeps making what we call ‘sleepy noises’ and then starts talking away to herself and climbing out again. I’m getting passed it with her. Evenings are the only time I get anything done (I have 4 DC’s ranging from 11-7 months) really starting to struggle to keep my cool.

It’s not fair on her sisters either. Any ideas on how to get her to go to sleep because right now I quite fancy bellowing my head off at her to see if that makes a difference but I know I’ll regret it after wards. Help!

I'd wait in the room and just keep repeatedly taking back to bed.

We had this problem recently too, we would stay outside the room and just keep returning him to bed when he got out, but to be honest it was a nightmare and really hard going as he woke the other one and they would get each other hyper. We now find that bribery works better- settle to bed and we will go to the park, you'll get a cookie tomorrow Blush not exactly mother of the year techniques but it was what worked and after a few nights they are back into the routine of settling straight to bed again.
