Baby sleeping on front?

My LO is just over 5 months and seems to have decided belly sleeping is the way forward!

I always put him down on his back at the start of the night. He then rolls straight onto his side/front and then stays there!

Is this ok for this age or should I keep rolling him back? The guidance seems so unclear!

He can roll back to front easily, and can go the other way occasionally but hasn't mastered it yet!

Hey!
Until he’s mastered rolling both ways it’s safest to keep putting him on his back!

As he has the capability to roll both ways i would leave him.

I was advised both by HV and GP that as soon as they are able to roll onto their tummy / side, it's perfectly safe to leave them. You'll just end up disturbing him if you keep rolling him back. My DS started rolling at 4m and been sleeping on his front ever since (16m soon!)
