Hello Mums.

My son is 4 weeks old (officially 1 month tmw). I've been extremely anxious since he was born as there were some minor problems which spooked me - so please bear with me. (Low heart rate, breathing reps and temperature for a few days which resolved itself but we had to stay in hospital and be monitored).

Since birth he's been very windy and often unhappy / Colicky and he's always hated laying on his back. Sleep has been very poor. Since yesterday evening he's suddenly happy on his back and even self settled to nap a few times.
Is this normal for this age? I realise everything is a phase and he will continue to change but he previously had to be fed / rocked to sleep and when I put him down on his back would wake up distressed 15 minutes later.

This sudden change isn't a sign that something is wrong with him?

I stopped breast feeding and we started comfort formula 2 days ago.

As long as he's bright and alert at times and gaining weight steadily, I'd just enjoy this new phase Smile

Sounds perfect!! He’ll be doing something different in another month, so just enjoy it. He sounds absolutely fine!

Sounds like the new formula is working/agreeing with him and he's feeling better 😊
