Has anyone had this? My little boy is 9 and a half months and since about 8 months we would give him bedtime milk in our room, read to him for 15 minutes take him in his own room lay him down awake and he would just fall to sleep himself within 10 minutes to 15. Last 2 weeks we do exactly the same as we always have but he just stands up starts playing in his cot. Crawling up and down. Standing and Waking round. Then he will cry after say 15 minutes then we will go up and he will fall a straight asleep in our arms but as soon as we place him down in cot his straight back up crying. Anyone else had this problem?

This is a really common problem around this stage, when able to stand.

Worth bearing in mind that it's a behaviour issue rather than a sleep issue, so wants dealing with as unwelcome behaviour.

He needs to learn (through repetitive assertion of boundaries and expectations) that while he can stand up, that there is a time and a place for this and the cot isn't it.

How do you teach them that @FATEdestiny?

He’s just practising his new skills!
Just keep putting him down

I was going to direct you towards this thread, to save me writing it all again:

but I see you found the thread anyway. Easily doable with an 11mo. As Moonshine11 put so succinctly, you just keep lying back down over and over again.
