Hello need some advice my baby was 5 weeks premature she is a month old today but she has all of the sudden not wanting to sleep during the night for the past 3 nights, and is really unsettled, she is feeding like she is so hungry so I feed her but she doesn't drink much but every time I take the bottle away she cries and soon as I put it back near her she moves like mad like like she's so hungry, she is on Aptamil, so you think I should put her on hungrier baby milk she only just has 3oz more than half her feed and the rest she will only take 2oz but the night times she seems more hungry

This is really normal behaviour, keep following her cues for feeding. If she won't take the milk you could try a dummy (assuming you've given this a go though?). She's probably having a growth spurt! Don't put her on hungrier baby milk, there's no extra calories it's just harder to digest so they are sleepier for longer.

Premature babies are often unsettled once they reach their due date, they are acting like the newborn babies they are rather than premature baby that should still be inside. Sounds all totally normal

I would give a dummy, it sounds like baby wants to comfort suck

(they give premmie babies in NICU dummies, so don't worry about it's use)

This is all normal. Totally exhausting but babies this age are frequently up all night

Okay brilliant thankyou so much, you guys have helped so much to understand why she is like this, this is my first baby so this is all completely new to me, really appreciate your replies x
