Is it time to drop the nap?

So my 2.5 year old is being a bit of a nightmare at bed time. She is just not tired. We have days where she doesn’t nap and she sleeps like a dream (13 hours solid at night) but other times she gets too tired in the day and won’t sleep because she is overtired. Does this mean she’s gearing up to drop the nap and we need to introduce some quiet time instead? Help!

Yes, sounds like it.

You don't need to go all-or-nothing through. Initially in the transition to two naps you might just have 1 or 2 days a week with one nap, the rest with 2 naps. Then over time have more days with one nap and fewer days with two naps.

My Just turned 2 year old doesn’t really nap anymore & settles at bedtime so much better & sleeps brilliantly at night. If she has a nap bedtime is a real battle.
If she doesn’t nap, she gets very tired around 3/4pm but I just ride through the last few hrs of the day.
