My little one is 10 months old and his top teeth are on their way!
One has broke through the gums and it looks like another three are on their way.
He is virtually inconsolable on a night at bedtime!
He's exhausted but can fall asleep, I've tried everything, calpol/nurofen, teething crystals, anbesol, cold washcloths. He refuses to breastfeed as well at these times.

Eventually he falls asleep, but it can be hours of him trying to fall asleep, drifting off and waking up sobbing.

Has anyone any ideas on what else I can try to soothe him?

I've taken him to the Dr's and had his ears checked just in case there's something else bothering him but there isn't.

For the 3 or so days around teeth actually cutting the gum, I would use maximum dose Calpol throughout the day. I think it's 4 doses maximum given 4h apart. This gives a residue level of pain relief to see him through the night. While I wouldn't do thing longer than a few days, it is significantly better than just 1 dose given at bedtime for when teeth cut.
