My nearly 10 month old daughter has now taken to sitting in her cot (not crying) fighting sleep, two hours tonight, she's like a nodding dog and when she falls asleep she pulls herself back to sitting and just won't lay down, anyone got any tips on how to deal with this? If I go in and let her down she just starts crying and we go back to scratch 😫😫

This is a phase lots go through. You get the same when they learn to pull to standing.

The way to solve is to keep repeatedly lying her back down, over and over again. Then have your hand on her chest as she's lying down as a way to settle her in the cot.

Hi claire1000uk did she ever stop doing it. My 10 month old DS has literally started doing exactly the same thing, he will flop around the cot because he's so tired and then sit up, even when his eyes are closed he's still trying to grab at things it's driving me crazy! When I try to rock him he just fights to get away
