Sleeping on stomach

Hi all,
My 6 month DS rolls over on his front and actually sleeps better like that, however he doesn't yet know how to roll back on his back. He's constantly rolling on his front the whole night and it's just not feasible for me to be up the whole night turning him back.

Weirdly he sleeps ok for the first part of the night but after 3am he constantly wakes himself up when he rolls over and cries. It's driving me mad. What can I do?

Do I just encourage him in the day to practice rolling back? Will that help? I understand it's not safe to sleep on his front if he cannot roll back himself but he keeps doing it himself.

Thanks

Just keep practicing - it's tummy time he needs for this. Lots and lots of tummy time. Spend pretty much all of his awake time on the floor on his tummy, with a few toys just out of reach so he has to stretch over to get them.
