Routine for 20 month old

My toddler has gone from taking himself to sleep at night with no issues and sleeping through to resisting bedtime for the last week and it taking up to 1.5 hours.
He naps 12:30-2:30 in the day no issues at all.
Can you share your toddler routines? Wondering if my expectations are off with his bedtimes now

My 20 month old has never slept though the night by herself, in fact she rarely doesn’t feed through the night and she always feed to sleep so this isn’t much use but

Wake up at - 7
Nap - 12.45 to 1.45 - I always wake her up from a nap
8.15 -asleep

I have 20 month old twins. Wake between 6.30am and 7.15am. Nap for 30-60 minutes between 12.30 and 1.30pm. We always wake at 1.30pm if still asleep. They sometimes sleep longer at nursery. Try to get them asleep for 7.30pm but my boy twin is often taking 30 minutes to get to sleep. We lay with them at bedtime. I would try reducing the nap to 1/1.5 hours and see if that makes a difference.

Up around 6am but he’ll happily stay in his cot sleepy for maybe 30 minutes.

Nap anywhere from 30minutes to two and a half hours. He’s best at 90 minutes plus.

Dinner at 4. Milk feed to sleep and usually down between 6 and 7. He does better the earlier he drops off.

We really struggled until I realised the issues at night were because he was over tired. For us moving bedtime forwards massively improved things.

How old is he?

He may not be ready for bed at the time you want him to go.
