Weaning off night feeds?

Does anyone have any tips on how to wean my 18 month old off feeding at night?
I've cut down his daytime feeds to two (morning and feed to sleep for nap) and he has a bottle before bed instead of feeding to sleep. It's just the night time feeds and feeding to sleep for his nap that I am yet to conquer!
Any advice will be much appreciated!
Thanks!

I did controlled crying with both mine at 9/10 months to night wean. The first night can be hard but they were sleeping through after night 4.

I co-slept from early on and offered water in a 360 cup and cuddles when I wanted to night wean. Night weaned at 16 months but continued daytime bf till age 2. There was a bit of crying but not too painful. I think it took a couple of weeks for the whinging to stop completely. It used to make me smile when DC would prod one of us and stick a hand up for the cup of water, drink then roll over and back to sleep.

I'm in the process of night weaning my 15month old. Some nights it felt like he was latched on ALL night and it's got a bit much, especially with a 2 year old who's also been a bit of a nightmare at night recently. Decided to pat, rock, shhh him (whatever works - I try not to pick him up unless he's really upset) at all wake ups before 5am. We've had a few particularly bad nights, two where he was up every hour, but he's now waking once or twice and going back to sleep very quickly. I then feed him at 5 and he quite often goes back down until 7ish. We've had one night where he's gone all the way through Grin I did controlled crying with DS1 which worked a lot quicker but I can't do it this time as I don't want the baby to wake him.

I also pumped on the first few nights as I'm prone to blocked ducts and mastitis, my boobs don't adjust very well to change Confused
