Hi, I’ve used a big standard plug in camera until now but DD climbed out of her cot so she’s in a cot bed from tonight. As she’s not quite 2 yet I am panicking about hanging wires in her room that she can access.

I still want to see her to check she’s in bed etc. Can anyone recommend a video monitor with no wires which lasts all night? Most say the battery power is awful and you have to plug the camera to the mains. It must exist?!

Thanks

Not ever seen one with the camera part battery powered, could you not mount it on the wall and nail the wires To the wall with cable clips?

Failing that I have seen the new security cameras that are battery operated www.arlo.com/uk/products/default.aspx?gclid=Cj0KCQjwmcWDBhCOARIsALgJ2QcQ6XsgGgeAAtsWIRc7Yt66-VaJDDWmA7yNvi8c8L8Baz8Z1f0fvdYaAiK1EALw_wcB

Actually scratch that - just one of those wireless cams is £450!!! 😳

Why don't you get a sound only one that ply into the wall socket? If she's anything like my 2yr old then you'll hear if she is up and moving about. Failing that do you have a large chest of drawers in her room? Could you put the camera on top and tuck the wires down the back?

Just put the wires in some sort of wire tidy kit.

Video monitors are a very very recent thing though... unless you live in a mansion you can usually hear a two year moving about if they get out of bed.

We use a webcam which is (literally) clamped to the headboard.

Hi @Yogamummy23 can I ask if you ever found a suitable camera? I am currently looking for something like this myself :)

Hi @shoesplash I’m afraid in the end we bit the bullet and opted for a plug in audio one so we can’t see her! They are very sensitive to sound though and we are used to not seeing her on it now.

We did find one wireless one which was the Babymoov but it was very expensive!
