Reflux at night

Hi everyone.
My baby is nearly 6 weeks and has had issues with reflux since birth. Doesn't seem in pain with it but vomits a lot and grunts at night. Waking 3 times in the night and I'm holding him for 30 mins upright but it's not helping. I'm exhausted and have a toddler too so can't rest in the day. I want to be able to feed lying down and let baby fall to sleep with me but he just vomits everywhere when on his side or his back. He sleeps on me mostly during the day or in a sling. Help please!

Does he have a dummy? I have a refluxy baby of the same age and it’s astonishing the difference the dummy has made. I think the swallowing action helps him keep his feed down or maybe it’s just the comfort of sucking but whatever the reasoning it’s really helped us.

Thanks shytown. Yes he uses a dummy and it helps a bit but still if I put him down before at least 30 mins after a feedhe pukes it all up. Unfortunately he seems to always want to poo around 4am and if he doesn't poo he grunts for an hour or more until he does it!
