There are so many sleep books and sleep guides available for newborn routines and sleep training, which one did you use and did it work?

I bought a book called The baby sleep guide by Stephanie Modell and honestly it just stressed me out. Small babies don't really do what books say. My favorite book I have bought is by Lyndsey Hookway but it doesn't have any routines and is only about making very gentle changes, not sleep training. I found it quite well evidenced and non judgemental.

There are books on how to sleep train a newborn baby? Really.
Honestly, just enjoy cuddling your baby. Your life has changed. Babies don’t know night from day.
Don’t try and train him or her to do a for a couple of months. never
Oh and congratulations.

The one the baby read! Unfortunately you just have to go with what the baby wants to do. Once feeding is established you can nudge things a little but in my experience you have the non sleepers for which nothing works (my first born) and the the rest who sleep pretty much when required barring illness and naps at entirely the wrong time (my second).

Why do you want to (try and fail to) sleep train a newborn op?
