In the last week my 9 week.old has been waking at 5.30am and not settling back to sleep. We take him into bed with us where he wiggles around for maybe 45 minutes then goes to sleep. To be woken by toddlee soon after!

He self settles to bed at about 6.30 to 7.30 depending on last nap. Has 4 naps a day with one long one (2 hours plus) which are usually out in pram. Awake time of 1h20 to 1h30. Is he sleeping too much in day? Total of about 5 hours naps usually.

Any advice greatly received!!!

Thank you!

He's only 9 weeks. I would say 5.30 is pretty standard!

Ok!! It's easy to want a solution to everything isn't it... it's odd as he's not hungry then as he's usually had a feed at about 2 or 3

I was going to say - can a 9-week old have an "early" wake up? Surely they're still trying to figure out what's day and what's night?

I guess it's just the change. Before that he was sleeping from 7.30 then wake ups for milk but then straight back to sleep and we had to wake him at 8am. Lucky I know. But then this sudden change

My son was a divil in the early morning with wind. It would accumulate during the night feeds and he'd be an antichrist by dawn. Could be something worth checking, give him a good winding at his earlier feeds. They will start to get more aware and have more wake time so if he's happy to lie there then leave him be Smile
