9m refusing second nap

My little boy is 9 months, and these last few weeks has been fighting or flat out refusing his second nap. I have already pushed both his first and second nap back later in the day and have cut his first nap short. Our daily routine is below - can you see any problems with it that I might be missing? Should I consider dropping to one nap a day or try to carry on with the two naps for a couple more months until his a bit older?

7:00: wake up
10:00: nap 1 (he goes down fine for this, I wake him after 45 mins),
14:30: nap 2 - this is the nap he refuses or fights, if he does go down for it, it usually takes 30 mins - I wake him at 16:00 if he's still snoozing.
20:00 - bedtime - have had to push it back, it was 19:00 originally.

It's not ideal to push the morning nap later. Make it earlier - 9am, but shorter if needs be. A 9am morning nap and 2pm afternoon nap would be ok.

As for refusing a nap - the important thing to notice here is that is more likely baby is struggling to go to sleep but still needs the nap, rather than refusing because the nap isn't needed.

How do you get baby to sleep?

Is baby sleeping through uninterrupted over night?

Agree with FATE. I'd try the first nap at 9am.
